“It is more profound to live your truth than to preach it!” – Simone Singh-Sagar

simoneCHALLENGE: The time has come for each one of us who claims to be a follower, believer, disciple of Christ to WALK our TALK.

When we look at our society – the communities in which we live, the schools our children attend, the jobsites we frequent, the Church we are involved in, the world at large – what do we see being most prevalent? Are people contented and joyful? Are they patient and kind? And what about unconditional love…is it practiced daily where you are?

Friends, we “regular churchgoers” who hear the Word of God weekly, need to step up to the task of re-claiming our society from the fangs of degradation and demise that we are seeing on our news headlines and social media. Fact is, it is our children and grandchildren of tomorrow who will be living in a world of violence and hate and abuse and discrimination. It is high time for us to start doing something positive in the situations we find ourselves in everyday – our homes or jobs or schools or social situations.

What sort of world have you envisioned for your children? St. Paul says to us in

Romans 12:2 “…be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Let us take some time this Week and examine ourselves, our minds…

 what do we spend our time thinking about,

 what information do we feed our minds,

 what are the things that influence us on a daily basis and cause our reactions?

In so doing, we can identify areas in ourselves that need transformation and renewal that can be achieved through personal prayerful devotions and dedication to becoming good in mind, spirit and deed.

It starts with each one of us – which one of us would not like the gossip, slander, humiliation, prejudice, violent displays and general discontent to stop?

It begins with you and I – you and I must refrain from the things that cause rifts and confusion, that cause hate and hurt and that cause stigma and desecration of reputation.

Come on Friends, we need to actively infiltrate our environments with the principles that we build our faith on, through our words and how we treat with people. We need to live the Word of God, bear the Fruit of the Spirit, wear the Armor of God and in all things, speak to each other in love, with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making music from our hearts, in one accord, to our Heavenly Father!

Let us take our theology and make it our walkology!
