Christopher Duncanson-Hales

Christopher Duncanson-Hales teaches in the Department of International Development Studies at Trent University in Peterborough, ON, Canada. Prior to working at Trent, Chris has taught in the Religions and Cultures program at Nipissing University, and the Religious Studies and Philosophy programs at Laurentian University, Sudbury, ON.
Chris is a graduate of Trent University in Peterborough with an Honours B.A. in International Development Studies, Queen’s School of Religion at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON with a Master of Theological Studies and the University of Ottawa/Saint Paul University in Ottawa, ON with a Ph.D. in Historical and Systematic Theology.
Chris’ dissertation,The Full has Never been Told: Theology and the Encounter with Globalization is a phenomenological exploration of theological reflections on globalization as expressed through marginalized religious groups, specifically, the Rastafari of Jamaica.  Chris is currently working on an edited volume on interdisciplinarity for the Human Sciences Monograph Series with the International Centre for Interdisciplinarity Research in the Human Sciences (ICIRHS) at Laurentian University. The volume is accepting submissions until June 2012 for publication in 2013.
Chris currently lives in Sudbury with his wife, Rev. Melody and their three children, Lachlan, Padriag and Sophia.
