Dan Turk

Dan and wife Elizabeth have been mission co-workers with the Presbyterian Church (USA) in Madagascar since 1997.  Dan is advisor to the environment program of PC(USA)’s partner church in Madagascar, the Church of Jesus Christ in Madagascar (FJKM).  The program focuses mainly on promoting fruit trees to help farmers get out of poverty.  Dan has a Masters’ in Agronomy and Soil Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Ph.D. in Forestry from North Carolina State University.  His interests are growing fruit trees and Malagasy native trees, and botany.  Dan and Elizabeth are currently on interpretation assignment in the US.
