Happy late Birthday! My guess is that you may not remember my wife and myself, but we were among your fans at Mission Bay Community Church back in the day. I hadn’t checked on your ministry in a while, and I was saddened to see the effect this pandemic has had on you and your family. The pastor of our church had a sabbatical during part of this debacle, and I think that was a wise decision on the part of our congregation. I wish you the abundance of God’s grace in your time of healing.

Interestingly, I am contacting you through Ecclesio, which is very close in name to Ekkesia, the organization formally directed by our new Co-Executive Director at New College Berkeley. I wonder if there is any synergy there? Also, I wonder if you are familiar with the work of Felicia Song at Westmont College.

Truly, my heart goes out to you! If there’s anything we can do to help, especially in the form of a place of retreat, please let us now.
Yours in Christ, Phil (and Siggie)
